Monday Matters #19

http://sirkenrobinson.com/ken-robinson-do-schools-ignore-talents/

Sir Ken Robinson makes a powerful argument in this video that schools are too focused on testing and making sure students are learning all the materials in the books, when they really should be looking into making the students stronger in their true talents. Each person has different talents and some will never be able to figure them out because schools are not allowing them. They may be just thrown in a math class when they will never do anything math related again in their lives. He believes that students should be given a time during the day where they can focus on something they are talented in or interested in because that is what they will be doing later on in life, not just solving math problems and letting tests determine what they are good at and what they aren't good at.
